Operator Training and Assessments RTO 52956 is a registered training organisation offering the following nationally recognised training courses.
TLIC3004 Drive Heavy Rigid
TLIC3005 Drive Heavy Combination Vehicle
TLIC4006 Drive Multi Combination Vehicle
We provide training and assessment for all 3 Units of Competency. We will provide you with all student resources to help you successfully complete the unit. Training and Assessment is carried at our RTO located at 33 Rothschild Place in Midvale.
Training involves developing the skills and knowledge to drive a Heavy Vehicle safely. Driving is carried out in accordance with relevant state/territory road and traffic authority licence requirements and regulations.
Upon successful completion of the unit we will issue a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment. Students must complete the unit of competency and be issued with a Statement of Attainment before they can sit the DOT Practical Driving Assessment PDA.

Department of Transport WA
Once you achieve the Statement of Attainment SOA for the Unit of Competency you can then sit the Practical Driving Test PDA. All assessments are conducted by our DOT approved assessors onsite.
Vehicle Classes
Heavy Rigid HR
Once you achieve the Statement of Attainment for TLIC3004 Drive Heavy Rigid Vehicle we can conduct the DOT PDA.
Must have held:
- Car (C class) licence for at least 2 years, or
- Light rigid (LR) vehicle licence for at least 1 year, or
- Medium Rigid (MR) vehicle licence for at least 1 year.
There are 3 types of HR Licences
HR Automatic – This allows you to drive automatic HR only.
HR Manual - This allows you to drive vehicles with synchromesh gearboxes or automatic gearboxes only (single clutch)
Roadranger – This allows you to drive any type of HR Vehicles (double clutch)

Heavy Combination HC
Once you achieve the Statement of Attainment for TLIC3005 Drive Heavy Combination Vehicle we can conduct the DOT PDA. All HC Assessments are conducted by our DOT approved assessors onsite.
To apply to upgrade to a MC class licence, you must have held a:
- Car (C class) licence for at least 3 years, and
- Medium Rigid (MR) or Heavy Rigid (HR) licence for at least 1 year.
There are 3 types of HC Licences
Automatic – This allows you to drive Automatic HC only
Synchromesh – This allows you to drive vehicles with synchromesh gearboxes or automatic gearboxes only (single clutch)
Roadranger – This allows you to drive any type of HC vehicles (double clutch)
HC Licence allows you to drive a motor vehicle that is attached to a semi-trailer, or a trailer that has a gross vehicle mass exceeding 9 tonnes.

Multi Combination MC
Once you achieve the Statement of Attainment for TLIC4006 Drive Multi Combination Vehicle we can conduct the DOT PDA.
To apply to upgrade to a MC class licence, you must have held a:
- Car (C class) licence for at least 3 years, and
- Heavy Rigid or Heavy Combination licence for at least 1 year.
There are 3 types of MC Licences
Automatic – This allows you to drive automatic MC only
Synchromesh – This allows you to drive vehicles with synchromesh gearboxes or automatic gearboxes only (single clutch).
Roadranger- This allows you to drive any type of MC vehicle (double clutch)
MC Licence allows you to drive a motor vehicle towing two or more heavy trailers.

Upon completion we will provide you with a Statement of Attainment and other documents that you will take to the WA Department of Transport DOT Licencing Centre. The Department of Transport then issues the licence.
